Well, ACen is the largest anime convention in the MidWest and since this year is the 10th anniversary, I figured this would be the time to attend my first ACen. yeah, it had nothing to do w/ the fact that Travis Willingham and Chris Patton will be there.  Here's a link the site, in case anyone wishes to check it out. The con is May 11-13 and from what I've heard, it is a BLAST. Anime Central Shoot me a PM or reply in this topic if you're in the area and planning on attending and perhaps we shall have to coordinate a little Anime Jumpgate meet and greet!  EDIT TO ADD: Oh, Rom-Doll. Miss Colleen will be in attendance as well.

Actually, here's the complete guest list
That's a great line up! I'd also love to see High and Mighty Color live. However, I doubt I could scrape the money up to go to Chicago by May  . Oh well, you go have fun and report back in after the con with what happened :D.

Oh, shimatta. I was planning not to do any conventions this year to save money and vacation time for going to Japan in September. But now you're tempting me, Pip. Travis W. cancelled on the last con I went to where he was a guest, and I've been wishing to make that up. Plus, the "Voices for" concert was way cool last year, so that's another temptation. Ugh... gotta think this through.

Okay, I am not impressed thus far. I mailed in my pre-reg at the beginning of February. It would stand to reason that I would receive my badge not long after that, especially since I had to pay an extra $1.50 to have them mail it to me. Tomorrow is the start of the con for me. I STILL HAVE NO BADGE. This is not just me, there are scads of Chicagoans who have been screwed by Acen and the Postal Service. Acen did a bulk mailing on April 30th. Chicago (more specifically, the south suburbs, of which I am a resident) has the WORST postal system in the country. For serious. I mean, it's been reported on the news! Yay. :angry:

^^It's okay, doll. The weekend started out sucky but got better come Saturday evening and then just ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF all day Sunday.
I've already been online for much longer than I normally am (had to approve someone's friend requests on MySpace *winkwinknudgenudge*) so I'm probably not going to have it up tonight but I'm going to put together a page w/ the pics I took and then post the link to that and a Con Report in here as well. Let's just say that Pip came away from this weekend in total fangirl squee.
