Does anyone else collect Anime Figurines? Perhaps of your favorite characters? Something started by Niko inspired this thread. Me, I've been collecting figures of Lunamaria Hawke from Gundam SEED Destiny. Here's my collection so far....

And there's one out there that I've been looking for. If anyone can track this one down, let me know....

So who's on your shelf? :D

There's a link on that hobby page to Gundam SEED Destiny plushies - two of which are the mecha! Very cute :D.

So Rommie, are you actually collecting the figures or pictures of the figures? I'm always seeing pictures of the figures around but I'm not sure I've seen that many completed ones, other than the ones shown at hobby shows or that have been cutomized. If you need pictures I can keep you up to date on any I run into in the future.

I actually have those figures. They were pre-painted PVC figures of various sizes. The first three are about 8 inches tall, while the next three are about 4-5 inches.

That last one, of the one that I want, doesn't come prepainted, and I have no artistic talent whatsoever, so I could not do the justice that Luna deserves.

Plushies you say? This I've got to see. :D

Awwww...sorry you didn't have good news on that one, Rommie. Still, nice group of ones you have! :) I really like the one with her holding her jacket.

As you already saw, I just recently placed what I consider to be my first official figure order for this gal:
http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info.php?products_id=4321

I have no familiarity with the game she's apparently from, but I browsed by her on a site and was just smitten with how pretty she is.

I've also been gradually collecting a series of "One Piece" figures called "Portrait of Pirates", but I started collecting those more out of wanting cool OP stuff, not specifically being interested in figures. Right now, I have Sanji, Zoro, and Vivi:

Also a couple mini-trading figures from this set:

They're just little, but I've been trying to find someplace online that sells them, since I only have four, and it doesn't make the little raft unless you have all the pieces to fit together. (I have Sanji, Nami, Robin, and Chopper of that little thing).

Are there any places out there that paint the figures for you for a price? I'd be willing to pay for the figurine to be painted, if that's what it takes.

I'm a bit 'smitten' with her, if you couldn't tell.

Rommie, there might be. You might try asking about the figures in the current Figure thread in General Anime over at AnimeOnDVD. That group seems to know a bit about the subject and might know where to find painted figures or who might paint figures for people who don't paint.

It's not a matter of 'don't paint'. It's a matter of 'can't paint'.

Lunamaria is special. And I don't want to ruin a Luna figure.

Looks like you found that figure you were hunting for a while back, eh, Rommie?

Where'd you end up getting her?

They actually made a PVC version of the figure, and I found it on eBay. It's not the garage kit, like the one I was looking at before. When I saw that, my jaw dropped and my wallet got lighter. I just had to have it. It's still just as pretty as the garage kit, and at 1/3 of the price as well. :) The same thing goes for the one with her sitting down. There is a Resin kit out in that pose that costs a lot more as well, but thankfully they released a PVC version of it.

PVCs are just as good as Garage/Resin kits, if you ask me, and in some instances they're even prettier. :)

Been a while since this thread has been active, but with the recent revival of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I had to show this one off. I've actually had it a while, but nonetheless...

Awesome thing about this figure, is that it changes color with different temperatures. It turns white with heat, and black with cold. I've got her all black right now, but I've been contemplating turning just the dress white....

Oh, in case you can't tell, that's Yuki Nagato from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya as a Catgirl. ^_^
